“In Argentina, it is only Sworn Translators that are licensed to render a translation legally valid through their signature and seal. This ability of Sworn Translators to issue public deeds –inasmuch as Law No. 20.305 authorizes Sworn Translators to attest to the faithfulness of their translations- is a distinctive mark of Sworn Translators whose involvement is essential to guarantee legal certainty in transactions. Sworn Translators are thus authorized to translate into Spanish all documents written in foreign languages that need to be filed with governmental agencies, entities or organizations in Argentina and to translate documents from Spanish into another foreign language and to attest to the faithfulness of their translations signing them and affixing their seals.”
